Thank you for joining us for the Overnight Adventure at Battleship Cove! We are excited to celebrate the Female Faces of War Conference and the Women Protecting US Exhibit with you!

The following information will prepare you for a safe and happy overnight camping experience. Please share this material with everyone in your group prior to your visit. Overnight Guests must bring sleeping bag, pillow and toiletries. Please wear comfortable, rubber sole shoes.  

For Groups: Each group must present a letter or certificate of insurance that states your group has liability insurance coverage during your visit to Battleship Cove. A tour permit or medical insurance dos NOT cover you for liability insurance.

 Payment: Your payment should have been made at the time of booking. Please remember that the deposit is NON-REDUNDABLE and cannot be applied towards your balance.  

Arrival: Check in for Friday Over-Night Adventure: 3:00pm to 6:00pm

When you arrive please park your car in the designated Overnight Camping lot and proceed to the check-in post through the side gate to the left of the Gift Shop. You will be escorted to the Female Faces of War sign in and receive your bunking assignment. Once you are checked in, please join us for the welcome reception or if you choose, you may take a self guided tour of the Battleship.

 The staff will conduct a meeting with the overnight group for orientation to the Overnight experience and announcements.

Located in historic Fall River (MA) on scenic Mount Hope Bay , Battleship Cove is just a hop, skip, and a jump from all your favorite New England attractions.

From Boston and Points North

Take Interstate 93 South (Southeast Expressway) to 128 South; take Route 24 South to Fall River, Massachusetts; take Exit 7 (State Route 79); take Davol Street Exit (2nd Exit) and follow the signs (Waterfront, Heritage State Park, or Battleship Cove) along the waterfront to Battleship Cove.

 

From New York State and Points North West

Take Massachusetts Turnpike to route 495 South; follow to Route 24 South; take Toute 24 South to Fall River and take Exit 7 (State Route 79); take Davol Street Exit (2nd Exit) and follow the signs (Waterfront, Heritage State Park, or Battleship Cove) along the waterfront to Battleship Cove.

  From Providence , RI and Points South and West

Take Interstate 95 to 195 East; follow 195 East for approximately 14 miles, (do not take exit 5 in Rhode Island-proceed into Mass); take Exit 5 from the Braga Bridge in Fall River, MA. Bear left at the fork in the road, turn left at the stop sign and left again at the first traffic light onto Central Street . Proceed down the hill into the parking lot.

  From Cape Cod and Points East

Take interstate 195 West to Fall River, MA; take Exit 5 (before the Braga Bridge); bear right at the first two (2) forks in the Road and then take your first left under the overpass onto Davol Street; follow Davol Street to Battleship Cove. {Note: If you miss the first left onto Davol Street , just proceed straight ahead and take a left at the traffic light and take another immediate (next traffic light) left onto Davol Street }. Follow Davol Street to Battleship Cove.

From the Newport , Rhode Island Area

Take State Route 114 North or 138 North to Route 24 North; Take Interstate 195 West to Fall River, MA; take Exit 5 before the Braga Bridge, bear right at the first two forks in the road and take first left under the overpass onto Davol Street. Follow Davol Street to Battleship Cove. {Note: If you miss the first left onto Davol Street , just proceed straight ahead and take a left at the traffic light and take another immediate (next traffic light) left onto Davol Street }.
